| Yes, I was lying on my back when I took this photograph
in Great Smoky Mountains National Park. It was a partially clear blue
sky that made a good background for the rich colors of the fall foliage.
As I looked up to take in this view, a group of tall sweetgum trees
grabbed my interest. They appeared to be stretching infinitely into the
sky, surrounding me with greatness. These soaring cylindrical forms
produced a feeling of peace and strength. |
